The
ice hotel Ice Hotel or hotel ice first and largest hotel in the world
built entirely of snow and ice, is located in the small village of
Jukkasjarvi in northern Sweden with 1,100 resident and 1000 dog!
Every
winter, the hotel receives over 50,000 visitors from all over the world
come to see this superb hotel and experience the tranquility and the
northern lights & the exercise of all outstanding activities by
taking advantage of this unique location, 200 kilometres north of the
Arctic Circle!
Ace Hotel covers an area of
5,500 square meters, constructed of 1000 tons of ice River Torne River
Thorn and 30.000 tons of "snice", a mixture of snow and ice-strengthened
hull.
The process of building the
hotel throughout the year and attended by about 100 people, half of the
designers, between March and April, about 5,000 tons of ice are the
pieces of the torn and kept in cold storage during the spring and
summer.
Construction begins in
November and December to be the ice hotel is open and ready to receive
visitors from December to mid-April, then everything starts to melt
slowly back to the Turin...
